- [Instructor] Most of the time you save a project file with a quick file save command or Control + S keyboard shortcut. You can save project files to other formats or with safety-oriented options like creating a backup copy. When you want to save to another format, head to the File tab and then chose Save As. In the Save As screen, click Browse. That opens up the Save As dialogue box. Now down at the bottom in the Save As Type box, it's initially set to Project. To choose another format, click the down arrow on the right side of that box and you'll see a list of other formats that you can choose. You have older project formats, templates, PDF files, Excel workbooks, and even XML and CSV or comma delimited files. In this case, I'm gonna select Project Template to create a template for this office move. In the File Name box, I'm gonna type in the name, I'll call it Office Move Template. And then when I click Save, because I'm saving a template, I'll see this Save As Template dialogue…
