Save and clear a baseline
- [Instructor] When the customer or stakeholders approve your project plan, the next step is to save the baseline in Project. You can save additional baselines to track major changes to your project, or you can clear a baseline if you don't need it anymore. After your schedule has been approved, go to the Project tab, and in the Schedule section click Set Baseline. On the drop-down menu choose Set Baseline. That opens up the Set Baseline dialogue box. Now the first time around, the option for Set Baseline is selected and that's what you want. In addition, you wanna save to the baseline. However, know that if you click the down arrow there are actually 11 baselines that you can save. Because this is the first time we're saving the baseline, in the For section, I'm going to select Entire Project, I wanna save the entire schedule. Then click OK. And that's it, you've saved your baseline. Now if I go back up and click Set Baseline again, in the Set Baseline dialogue box, now the baseline…
