- [Instructor] Replacing resources comes in handy in several situations, like replacing generic resources with real people, to eliminate over-allocations, or to replace someone who's no longer on your project. We're gonna use the Assign Resources dialogue box to replace resources. I'm gonna go to the Resource tab and click Assign Resources. That opens up the Assign Resources dialogue box. I'm just gonna drag this out of the way. Let's take a look at Task Eight: Identify potential sites. In the Indicators column there's a red icon that says that the resource is over-allocated. Well let's say we're gonna replace this resource with someone else. To do that I'm gonna go to the Assign Resources dialogue box. Well let's lay I want to replace the Relo PM. So I'm gonna click that cell and then on the right side click Replace. That opens up the Replace Resource dialogue box. I can scroll in the list and when I see the resource that I want to use I can click their name and click OK. Now when I…
