Reducing scope - Microsoft Project Tutorial

Reducing scope
- Now that we've implemented a couple of the crashing techniques, we find we still have a couple more to look at. We're going to implement task ID number 10 and put in the fixed cost for this particular task which will allow us to reduce this to four days as well. So we'll put in our total fixed cost of 2,000 dollars. We'll change our duration to four days and this will reduce the scope by using a drying agent for that particular task. And of course it will dry that much faster. Now you can also reduce scope on a given activity by just changing the duration. In our electrical rough-in on task ID number 27, they said they can reduce that to four days instead of five, so we'll just change the duration and modify that as well to reduce that particular duration and of course, save additional money.
