Learn how to use shortcuts to open and save Project files quickly.
- [Instructor] Hi, I'm Bonnie Biafore…with another Project tip.…Today, I'll show you several shortcuts…for opening and saving your project files.…Here's one you might already know.…I've got Project open,…and I'm looking at another Project schedule,…but I realize I have to create a new project.…Wherever you are in Project, if you press Control + N,…Project will automatically create a new blank project…for you.…
If you look at the top center of the screen,…you'll see that it names it something like Project1,…or maybe Project2 or three,…depending on how many new projects you've created…in this particular Microsoft Project session.…But there are other shortcuts for opening and saving files,…so let's head to the File tab,…and over on the left-hand side,…click Options to open up the Project Options dialog box.…
We're gonna start with the Save category.…Default File location.…You wanna set this to the folder…where you store most of your project files.…For example, I can click the Browse button,…and let's say that I wanna use my Exercise Files folder.…
