- [Bonnie] Hi, Bonnie Biafore here with another project tip. Suppose you already have Tasks, Resources, or Assignments in your Project file. If you have more information to import into those records, you can merge data into them. So here we're looking at a project in the Gantt chart. To merge data, you need to have a field with unique values, so if we're merging into Tasks, the WBS will work. I'm going to start by inserting the WBS field. I'm going to right-click the Task Name heading, and choose Insert Column, and I'll choose WBS. Also I have another thing that I want to add to this table, so I'm going to click Add New Column, and I'm going to add the Accounting Code field. Now we're going to go ahead and merge some data from an Excel workbook into this project. Head up to the File tab and click Open. Then we're going to click Browse.
