- [Instructor] Project has tables, filters, and reports that help you look at project costs and find tasks or resources that cost more than plan. The first thing I'm gonna do is apply the cost table to this view. I'm gonna right-click the select all cell, and then choose Cost. Let's point at the vertical divider and drag to the right so I can see all of the columns. Some of the variants values aren't completely visible. You see these hashtags, so I'm gonna double-click the vertical divider to the right of the variance heading. Now I can see all of the values. The variance is positive when the scheduled cost is greater than the baseline cost; that means it's overbudget. If you see negative values, that means it's under budget. Another way to focus on these overbudget costs is with the cost overbudget filter. That means we're gonna head to the View tab, click the down arrow in the filter box, and choose More Filters.
