This video shows how to quickly indent and outdent tasks in Microsoft Project.
- [Instructor] Shortcuts for indenting and outdenting tasks help you build a project schedule quickly. Select the tasks you want to indent by dragging over their ID cells. And then, on the Task tab, click the Indent Tasks icon. Project indents the selected tasks and makes the task above a summary task. The Alt-Shift-Right arrow keyboard shortcut makes indenting really fast. Drag over the Task ID cells to select them and then press Alt + Shift + Right arrow. Project indents the selected tasks. Outdenting is similar to indenting. Select the tasks to outdent and then on the Task tab, click the Outdent Tasks icon. Project moves the selected tasks one level higher in the outline. To use the outdent keyboard shortcut, select the tasks, and then press Alt + Shift + Left arrow.
