Filtering to show the critical path

Now that we've reduced our project down to less than the 30 day requirements, we can review the critical path. These items should be the items that we're seeing in red within our file. We'd just like to focus on those so we're going to go up to the view ribbon and select the critical filter. This applies a column called critical to our project file and displays only the tasks that meet that criteria. So we'll also insert that column by going to the start column, right-clicking, and selecting insert column and we'll find the critical field. As you can see those are all listed as 'yes'. Now if we remove the filter by returning back up to the critical filter drop-down and selecting either clear filter or no filter, we'll then be able to see the non-critical tasks where the value is set to 'no'. Now any changes within the dependencies or durations within a project may change the critical path so you may need to reapply the filter if you do make those changes by going back to that filter…
