- [Bonnie] Hi, Bonnie Biafore here. You know how management sometimes tells you how long phases should take before you plan the project? Manual summary tasks can help you handle this dilemma. Let's say in this project, management wants the event planning done within three months. So here's what we're going to do. I'm going to select all of the planning tasks. To do that, I'm going to drag over task ID two through 18. So that's the initial planning through the milestone planning complete. Once I've selected those planning tasks, I'm going to head to the task tab and in the insert section, click summary. That creates a new summary task which will be the parent task for all of the planning tasks. I'm going to type in the name for this summary task and I'll make it planning. So I type that in and then press enter. Now this project is set up so that all of the new tasks are automatically scheduled. But what I want to do is I want to change the task mode for this new summary task to…
