Displaying the critical path and slack

- In a time-constrained project and since our scenario says that we need to have this complete in a 30 day home remodel window, and we're currently at 43 days, we might want to see the critical path being the longest path through the project. We're going to go to the format ribbon and on the format ribbon we can find the critical task check box. We'll select that. Now we may also want to see what's non-critical as well and how much slack is available on those. So we'll change the check box for the slack time as well. On the non-critical tasks we may also want to know the actual time to be displayed to the right of each of the non-critical tasks. We'll right-click in the gantt chart area and select 'bar styles'. On the non-critical tasks we'll select the text tab in the lower section and to the right where we currently are displaying the resource names, we'll change that to the total slack field, and we'll press 'OK'. And this will give us the total slack number of days for that…
