- [Instructor] A work resource in Project is one you assign by time, like a person who works full-time or a moving truck that you rent for five days. You start by providing some basic information, as well as, availability. The resource sheet is the best place for creating resources. So on the View tab, I'm gonna click Resource Sheet in the Resource Views section. When you're creating a work resource, you can set it up either based on a skill or job description, or with the person's name. Let's start by creating a work resource based on the job description. I'm gonna click the first blank resource name cell, I'm gonna type in the name of the skill or job description, Network Admin. Then I will tab to the Type cell. Project automatically selects Work. So all I have to do is click away from that cell and I have work resource. The great thing about these skill-based resources is you can use them to figure out how many resources you need by skillset.
