- [Instructor] A template can save time and increase accuracy when starting a project because it can include tasks, resources, settings, and even values like task duration and estimated work hours. When you go to the backstage view, click new to go to the new page. The new page has icons for a lot of templates and if you see one that you want to use, you can click it to create a file from that template. But let's say you don't see a template that you want. Up at the top, in the search for online templates box, you can type in keywords to look for a template. So, let's say I want a template for an IT project. I'm gonna type that in the box and then click the magnifying glass. That searches online for templates. The first one that comes back is software development plan and let's say that's what I want. To use this template click the icon. That opens up a preview of the template and you can see what kinds of tasks are in it. Over on the right side you can set the start date for your…
