Create a project from an Excel workbook

- [Instructor] Suppose you build a list of tasks in Excel and get estimates from team members. You can load tasks into a new Project file by importing your Excel data into Project. Let's take a look at the Excel file that I have. First of all, the first row has names of columns. We'll be able to use these names to tell Project where to put the data. Then I have the information in the other rows. So I have WBS codes, task names, and then estimated durations from team members. Well, at this point, now that we know what the workbook looks like, let's close it, so we can import it into Project. In Project, when you go to the Backstage view, on the left side, click New to go to the New page. On the right side, find the icon New from Excel workbook. I'm gonna click that icon, and that opens up the Open dialog box. Now I'm gonna find the folder that has my workbook in it. In this case, it's on the desktop, where I have my exercise files.
