Create multiple timelines
- Sometimes you'll want to look at the project at several levels. You can create more than one timeline. Each with it's own date range. To look at at high level view and close up at the same. To work on the timeline you want to make sure that it's the active view. So I'm going to click up in the timeline pane. I can see that when I look over the format tab it says timeline tools so I know that's the active view. Now let's go to the format tab. What we want to do is insert a timeline bar. I'm going to go to the insert section and click the timeline bar button. That inserts another timeline bar. Now if you don't see it don't panic. Just point at horizontal divider and when you see the two headed arrow, drag down so that the timeline takes up more of the window. Then you can see the second bar. When you first create another timeline bar it's set to the start and finish date of the entire project, but you can specify the date range that you want on these other bars. To do that right click…
