- [Instructor] The cost resource type is perfect for costs that aren't based on time or quantity. Like airfare or a construction permit. Because you specify values when you assign cost resources to tasks, the cost for each assignment can differ and you can track the total cost for each cost category. Cost resources are the easiest type to create. I'm gonna go to the first blank resource name cell. And I'm gonna type in the name of my cost resource. Let's say that it's permits. Now I'm gonna tab over into the Type cell. Project sets that to work but if I type a C on the keyboard, it changes it to cost. When I'm gonna tab over to the next cell. Notice when I do that, now that it's a cost resource, the only two fields that I have left to fill in are Initials and Accrue At. Well let's go to the Initials field. I can abbreviate the name of the resource, let's say to PER. And then in the Accrue At field, maybe I pay for the permit at the beginning of a task. So I'm gonna click the down…
