- Suppose the project you're working on now…has tasks that are similar…to some from a project you did last year.…You can copy entire rows.…For example, to copy tasks or resources between files.…You can also copy cells from a table in one Project file…to a table in another.…I have two Project files open…so I can demonstrate copying and pasting between files.…Let's change the windows setup…so it's a lot easier to do copy and paste.…I want to be able to see…both Project files at the same time.…
Here's how you do that.…On the View tab, head over to the Window section.…You see that icon that looks like two windows,…one above the other?…That's the one that you want to click.…When you do that,…you have your first project shows up on the top,…and the second one on the bottom.…Now I can easily jump between the two…by just clicking in the window that I want.…In this top project when I scroll down,…I can see that I've got all the tasks…for this project schedule.…
On the other hand when I click the lower window…and scroll down,…
