A project schedule is an important part of your project plan and you don’t want to lose the work you’ve done on it. After watching this video, you will be able to set AutoSave options to protect the work you want to save.
- [Bonnie] Hi, I'm Bonnie Biafore. … In this tip, I'll talk about how to set auto save options … to protect the work you've done on your project file … and without overwriting your file … with work you don't want to save. … So we're going to head to the File tab … and then go down to the bottom and click Options. … That opens up the Project Options dialog box, … and we're going to head to the Save category, … so you want to go to the checkbox … that says Auto save every, so many minutes. … Make sure that that's turned on. … That way, Project will automatically save the file for you, … so you won't lose that much work. … The next question is, well, how many minutes? … On the one hand, you don't want to get interrupted too much. … On the other hand, you don't want to lose too much work. … So I set it right in the middle at 60 minutes. … You can choose anywhere between one and 120 minutes though. … Next, you have two options, … Save active project only, or Save all open projects. … The safest one is this first one, Save active project only. …
