- [Instructor] You can assign overtime in a couple of ways in Project. Depending on whether people are paid extra for overtime work. Let's start by setting up a view to look at all of this stuff. On the View tab, I'm going to click Task Usage. The first thing I wanna do is add some fields to this table. So I'm gonna point at the vertical divider between the table and the timescale and drag over to the right. Then click Add New Column and choose Assignment Units. Then click Add New Column again, and this time add the peak field. The other thing I wanna do is add overtime work to the time phased grid. To do that, I'm gonna right click the Details column in the time phased grid. Overtime work doesn't appear on the shortcut menu. You have to choose Details Styles to open the Details Styles dialogue box. In the field on the left, which is Available Field, you wanna find Overtime Work.
