In this video, John Riopel creates a resource assignment using the browser and client interfaces. Included is the reason for using each interface for managing resource assignments.
- [Instructor] In Project Online, there's a couple ways…to make resource assignments on projects.…I'm going to do that by going to the Project Center.…In here, I have a list of all projects from all owners…since I'm the administrator.…I'm going to scroll down on that particular dialogue box…and find a project that already exists…called a currency translator upgrade project…that's assigned to me.…I'm going to click on that project…and in this particular window,…I'm looking all right the project schedule.…
Since this happens to be checked in here,…and I can also move that separator over.…I want to edit that project in the browser,…so I'm going to select the Edit button…and click In Browser.…I can make assignments in here…for each task that I currently have.…I currently have a role-based type schedule at present,…and I could change that by clicking in the drop down…and modifying each of the resource assignments.…
Now I want to transition this project…from a role-based project to actual names.…So I'm going to go up to the project ribbon…
