- Managing the data set within Power BI is important to tuning those data loads for end users. To do that we can go to the view ribbon and on the view ribbon is a tool that comes with the Power BI desktop called performance analyzer. Here we'll analyze the report. So, we'll start the recording to get a base set for how long each visual takes to load. And we'll refresh all visuals. So, here we can see that our base set took 740 milliseconds for the assignment work by resources to load. That seems to be our longest one. We'll go back to the query that feeds that information and see whether we can improve the load time. So, let's go to the home ribbon and select edit queries. Under the home ribbon, we've now launched the query editor. We're using assignment time phase data for this section of the report so we want to modify this particular query.
