Understanding process flows

- There are things you can delegate in your project and there are things you can't. Integration management is one of them. If you delegate this, then what value do you add? Your job is to get a strong grasp of what's happening in your project and bring it all together. It all starts with the right mindset. This comes with lots of practice and understanding process flows. Think of a process flow like a stream of water flowing down the side of a mountain. It starts off slow at the top and picks up speed as it continues to the bottom. Once it gains force, it pulls almost everything in its path along with it. For example to start your project, you'll need a signed project charter that is an output of the initiating process group, the top of your mountain. The charter becomes a key input into a number of planning processes and it's used to create a detailed project baseline, also known as the project management plan. Are you following me so far?
