Understand the project scenario
- [Instructor] In this course, I'll use a sample project to demonstrate how to manage a small project. The sample project's goal is to set up an office for a small business owned by a woman named Beth. Beth wants office space and technology that will satisfy the needs of her business as it grows over the next five years. She also wants a location that will help the business grow. The project starts in March and Beth would like the office ready by May. Beth has asked you to help her with this project. The two of you have defined the project's scope to include acquiring office space, setting up a computer network, phone system and internet service and setting up office productivity software. Some of the work will be done by Beth and her employees. Much of the work though is performed by vendors and contractors. Because of that, the project work is organized by who is responsible for deliverables. This course will walk you through techniques and methods for managing a small project like this. Once you understand these techniques using the sample project, you can apply them to your own projects.
