- While scrum is the most popular of the agile methodologies, it's essential to understand the foundation from which all agile methodologies come. You might be wondering why it's so important. Well, in a nutshell, agile methodologies provide a highly flexible and adaptive framework. This means that once teams are formed and performing well, teams can adapt the framework to better suit their needs. However, if the team loses sight of these foundational philosophies, they may lose their way and revert back to bad habits that run to the effectiveness of agile.
