How do you become a PMO leader?
- One of my clients was a business analyst in his company and he was frustrated with the way projects were being managed. He believed the PMO was clearly needed. But he realized it might not be as clear to the rest of his company, 'specially his senior leadership. So, he asked me for advice. We jotted down an approach that would confirm his theory of the company desperately requiring a PMO, then we scripted a pitch that would resonate with senior leadership and allow him to set up a PMO with limited resources and that's how my client muscled his way to become a PMO leader.
