- Tasks as well as resources can be placed…in groups in OmniPlan,…and this is useful for similar reasons…that you might place anything in a group.…It's organizational and they go together.…I want to show you how this works,…but also mention that there may be some redundancy…in grouping tasks versus creating milestones.…So tasks accumulate to achieve milestones,…but tasks are also grouped because they are alike.…
So there is some similarity there,…and it will be up to you how you choose to use groups…as opposed to milestones for your project.…I will say that in my experience almost every project…benefits from milestones,…which are a standard part of the Gantt procedure,…whereas groups are useful,…depending on your particular project…and how you choose to conceptualize it.…So it's not very difficult to make a group,…you just pick some things that go together…and need to be grouped.…
In this case I've got, right here in the outline,…the server set-up, the database install,…the Wordpress install, and the template development.…
