- Scrum teams frequently use burndown charts to track their progress within a sprint. A burndown simply shows how much work is planned to be completed in a sprint and tracks how much work is done each day. Everyday, this shows the team whether or not they're on track to meet their commitment. Your sprint burndown chart is a powerful tool for you and your team. If you're using an agile life cycle management or ALM tool, like JIRA or version one, the burndown is a standard report for every scrum team.
