- Okay, you've met with all the stakeholders, you've spoken to them about their pain points and challenges all to determine the necessity of a PMO in your organization. Now it's time to go through their responses. Did any of them make your jaw drop? Some of the responses you might hear are: None of our projects ever get completed on time. Or, we get requests from all over the place and we just work on what feels right. Or, we don't know what's going on with our projects. And finally, our team is overwhelmed with work. Well, what do these mean? The first response might mean that there could be a lack of schedule management standards. Or there might be a lack of rigor around project delivery. The second response could suggest that there is simply no project prioritization based on business strategy. And there's probably no process to channel through the requests that come in.
