Using the exercise files

If you are a Premium Member of the Lynda.com Online Training Library or if you're watching this tutorial on a DVD, then you'll have access to the Exercise Files used throughout this title. In the beginning chapters, most exercises begin with a blank Processing file. And the code is typed in during the exercise. As such, you won't need to open any files at the beginning, but you can compare your results to the finished product if you like. Starting in Chapter 7 where we begin to use longer coding sketches and external files, you will have access to the files that are used at each stage. The Exercise Files are contained in a folder and there is one project folder for each movie. Inside the folder, you will find a folder with a Processing sketch, as well as folders for any other files needed to follow along with the movie. Such as datasets or image files. If you're a monthly subscriber or an annual subscriber to Lynda.com, you don't have access to the Exercise Files, but you can follow along from scratch with your own data. And so, let's get started.
