Working with sends

- [Instructor] To get the most out of sends you'll want to become familiar with the options that Pro Tools provides. Let's review some of the important settings and display options that are available for working with sends in a session. Earlier, I added a send to the Box2 track in this session. Let's open that send window and take another look. This send is coming from a mono track and routing to a stereo destination. That means I can use the send pan control to position the send anywhere in the stereo field. Often times you'll want the send position to follow the panning changes you make on the source track. This can be especially useful if you're using pan automation on the track. At the top of the send window you'll find the FMP button for this purpose. That stands for follow main pan. Enabling this button causes the send pan to become inactive and now any panning changes I make on the source track, over here, are reflected in the send window. The other button you'll want to be…
