- [Instructor] Once the production audio is recorded, it's time to move into post production. And while recording audio on set is fairly straightforward, audio in post-production can be quite complex, as we'll see. Once we offload our high quality audio files and sync them with the video files, we then need to edit the audio as we're doing the edit. As mentioned previously, we covered audio editing extensively in the previous course in this series on editing, we talked about cutting to sample rate, using room tone, and all kinds of essential and helpful topics that I recommend you checking out if you didn't see it yet. Once we've recorded, offloaded, synced and edited our footage, we get to picture lock. In almost all cases, it's a really good idea to wait until picture lock before handing off the audio files to anybody else.
