Using Folder Tracks for submixing

- [Narrator] Earlier I used an Aux input track as a sub mix destination for the background vocal tracks in this session. Here, I've returned to an earlier state to show you an alternative workflow using a folder track. In Pro Tools 2020.3 and later, we can create a routing folder to serve as a sub mix destination. This track type functions the same as an Aux input track for sub mixing purposes, but with a few extra benefits. So to get started, we'll need to select the tracks that we wish to place inside of a folder track. So I'm going to click here on the BGV track and then hold shift. While I click over here on the BGV six track to select all of the tracks in between. Next I'll go to the track menu and select the move to new folder command. In the resulting dialog box, I can specify the type of folder track that I want to use. Now remember a basic folder is nothing more than a holding container for other tracks.…
