Track views and controls for MIDI data

- [Instructor] As with audio, the MIDI and instrument tracks in a session can display data in a variety of ways. Here, we'll take a look at some of the different displays available for working with MIDI information, and routing MIDI data in the Mix and Edit windows. When viewing MIDI data in the Edit window, the performance is displayed in Clips view by default on any MIDI or instrument tracks. Other common views for working with MIDI note information include Notes view, and Velocity view. You can select the view using the Track View selector here at the head of your track. You can also toggle between Clips and Notes view for any track containing your edit cursor by pressing Control+Minus on the Mac, or Start+Minus on Windows. Each press toggles between the two views. As discussed in the Pro Tools 101 course, Clips view is useful for arranging clips on your tracks, selecting, moving, copying or duplicating, and so forth.
