Staggered creative song fade-outs
- When a song needs a fade out, it's pretty typical to apply a fade to the master bus and to turn down the whole track evenly all at the same time. Much like this. (upbeat music) (music slowly fades) But every time I'm given that opportunity, I feel like hey that's opened up a creative door and we might be able to have some more fun with this. So you can see in this session, I've applied different individual fades to all the tracks. I have some coming in out at different times. Some go longer, some go out sooner. It's gonna give us a real different effect. You can hear what's going on. (upbeat music) Obviously, we left the guitar in. We also added a little bit of reverb to the end of it to make it carry out. (electronic guitar note) Kind of fun. And we did this, there's a little snare overdub track. I just left it completely as is. (drum beats) And that carries right through the last hit. And I took these regular drums. (drums beat) Those guys fade out pretty soon. Easy drummer chugs…
