Playlists are one of my favorite features in Pro Tools.…They can act like virtual recording tracks and be used…for recording additional takes of a performance to the same track.…Or for storing different versions of a part on the same track.…Of course they can also be used in many other creative ways as well.…You can see that I already have some audio recorded to…the muted guitar track that we recorded in the last video.…Let's add a new playlist.…Click the triangle to the right of the track name and select New.…You can name it the default or give it a custom name if you prefer.…And it looks like our audio went away.…
It's just on a different playlist than the one we're viewing.…You can click again and choose to go back…to the original playlist here and even switch between them.…We can also duplicate existing playlists.…So if I go back to the original muted guitar part, and…I wanted to make a copy of this playlist, I can select Duplicate.…And again, you can name it the default, or something custom.…And you can see that the Muted Guitar.02 playlist contains the…
