- [Narrator] Recording audio at the session tempo lets you take advantage of Pro Tools' To ensure that your performers play at the session tempo, you can use a metronome based click in your session. Here, we'll look at ways to enable the click, and also discuss options for using a virtual instrument as the sound source for your click. Now a simple way to use a metronome click With the click track added, you can enable and disable the click from the Midi controls area in either the edit window toolbar or in the transport window here. The metronome button here can be used to toggle the click on and off. - [Narrator] You can also toggle the click on and off from the Options menu by choosing Click here. (clicking sound) - [Narrator] Now this has the same effect as clicking on the metronome button.
