- For this video, I got to do something I've always wanted to try. What if we mic'd up a pair of headphones, piped in existing tracks and recorded the sounds back into the session? Well, why not try it? I decided to this with a vocal track for my video, re-amping vocals through headphones and the results were similar to what I had imagined, yet different at the same time. Next, I thought I'd try this with various instruments. First I ran the whole rough mix of this instrumental into headphones, here's the original. (rock music) Here is the re-amped through headphones version. (rock music) It's obviously thinner sounding, but it also kind of has spiky, mid-range elements that poke out, it's interesting but in a very weird way. Now let's break down some of the elements.
