Prepping acoustic guitar with RX 5

- [Voiceover] Acoustic guitars are wonderful instruments with lots of interesting overtones and expression, but they can also make a lot of distracting noises and be hard to work into a mix. A typical problem is miking up an acoustic guitar too close to the sound hole and getting kind of a boomy tone in it. Like this. (guitar playing) You can simply like, roll off some low end on that track. But a lot of times, you lose some detail that's in that region. What I like to do a lot is to use isotopes RX Five Noise Reduction to just, kinda get some more handle on what's happening here. I use the Connect podium to send it over here. To the stand alone version of RX Five. What's great here is we can kinda like, zoom in and see what's happening in the bottom end. Go to Spectogram Settings under View. And go to Extended Log, and that's gonna give us a really good view of what's happening in the bottom here. All these stuff down here. We can highlight and play it. You know, if this guitar is…
