Customizing I/O settings
- [Narrator] At times you may need to modify or customize the I/O settings for your session. Here we'll take a look at how to do this in Pro Tools. Your inputs, outputs and buses can be renamed and modified at any time using the I/O setup dialog box. By customizing your I/O settings you can label sources and destinations. Now this can be especially useful for fixed configurations where your inputs and outputs will not be changing from one session to the next. Now this example illustrates a common issue. Here we have the wrong I/O settings for my current hardware. In this example, I'm using an MBox pro but the I/O settings are from a different configuration. To solve this problem we can reset the paths using the default button down here in the I/O setup dialog box. Clicking this button resets the buses to match my currently connected audio interface. Now we can repeat that process on each page of I/O setup. Again clicking on the default button or hold the option modifier on Mac or Alt…
