- [Instructor] In my previous video, Turning Any Sound Into Sonic Wash, I used echos, reverbs and more, to turn a standard rock band track into a crazy wash of sound. (rock music) The cool thing about that technique, is that the harmonic center stays pretty much the same, and sounds just get suspended in time, with all this delay and reverb. With this new trick, I'll be using time modulation, to mess with the pitch and the harmonic content of the sounds. I'll quickly show how we did the original sonic wash. Turning these all on for the base track, obscures the playing, and builds a wash or a pad, that one could use in a cool mix. (bass guitar music) (reverberating music) (overlapping notes) So there's the original sound that we were doing, in the original sonic wash. Now here is the mod-delay that I set up. I've come up with a strange, wobbly preset in Pro Tools stock mod-delay three, that slowly messes with the pitch of the delay. You can create this effect with other delays, as long…
