- [Presenter] Here's something I use occasionally for treating vocals when mixing. I have this wonderful Tube Tape Echo by Fulltone, which is basically a recreation of the old Echoplex Tape Delay from the 1960s. I love using it for echo sounds and frequently on vocals, and on guitars and keyboards and sometimes even straight into guitar amps like it's a stomp box. But in this case, I'll show you how to use it for processing sounds and mixing. I'll plug the unit into my EXTC which allows me a path into the lower voltage, higher impedance electronics and also back into my computer interface. I'll set the delay's knobs so it's a hundred percent echo. No original signal and no feedback or regeneration. The erase and record heads wipe the tape and track signals sent to it. And the playback head is controlled physically via the slider on the top, setting the delay time. For this session, we kept it at the far left and recorded back off the playback head.
