There is no prerequisite for this course, but a basic understanding of print production will contribute to your understanding of some of the concepts, so I would definitely recommend the Print Production Fundamentals course on lynda.com. If you plan to follow the tutorials in chapter five, where we cover critical skills for folding and layout, you should have a working knowledge of InDesign. If you need to brush up on your InDesign skills, there are many helpful courses by a variety of authors at lynda.com, including my good friends Claudia McCue, David Blatner, Nigel French, Anne-Marie Concepcion, and others.
