Placing fold marks
- In the previous movie, we set the guides, and now it's time to place the fold marks. To do this is simple. Let's take a look. I'm a start by zooming in on one of the guides, it really doesn't matter which one. The point is we just have to be in nice and close. And I'm gonna grab the little line tool here, and I'm going to make a line that is in exact alignment with the guide, and I'm gonna make sure that the line is on the slug area and not on the printable page, and that's because all we're really trying to do here is tell the printer, where to fold. So we don't want the fold mark to print on the page, we just want it to be out in the slug area. And the other thing I'm gonna do, is I'm a turn it into a dashed line. And the reason for this, is because in printer's speak, a solid line means cut, and a dashed line means fold. And that's why when you print crop marks they're solid. That means cut.
