Folding for mail
- Folding and direct mail are like peas in a pod. They're meant to be together, however, creating a folded direct mail piece can be confusing and the stakes are high. If you're not paying attention you can make mistakes that may seem small to you, but a seemingly small mistake can add up to a lot of money and destroy your profit margins. I want to first mention that if your designing folded mailers, you usually want to stay within USPS or US Postal Service letter sized mail requirements. The next size up is a flad and the postage jumps dramatically. If you have the budget and the greenlight to make oversized mail, fabulous, but make sure that's a conscious decision. Now, I know I'm already probably freaking you out with the mention of costly mail mistakes, but don't let the fear of making a mistake keep you from sending engaging, folded mail. I'm here to help.
