- I'm going to be sharing lots of creative folded formats with you in this course, and some of them are classified as specialty formats, formats in unique shapes that need to be created as dielines and diecut during the finishing process. So don't be intimidated if you need to create your own custom dieline for a folded project. The technique of setting up the file for uniquely shaped folded formats is pretty straightforward, and the key factor to keep in mind is accuracy. The printer will make the metal die from the linework you provide, so there is no room for error. If you can't guarantee accuracy, you may wanna reach out for other resources and assistance with the dieline itself. So what I'm going to do is give you a very quick overview on the components of the file and the basic setup.
