- [Man] If there is one fundamental rule that applies to motion in the digital studio, it is that items in motion follow an arc. You may have noticed there's no such thing as a motion path tool or even a motion facility in principle. That's the bad news. The good news is, there is a rather elegant workaround. Let's see how all that works. To get yourself started, open the arc file found in your chapter download. What we have here is a typical motion example. The block is tapped, and down it goes. And if I tap it again, it moves up only in a straight line. Let's add a bit of a curve to this one. So we're going to select the layer tap arrow, the upper one. And we'll work with these eases. And we're going to apply an ease to the x axis. So that would be this one. And we're going to apply an ease to the y axis, which would be this one. So the first thing we're going to do is going to apply ease in, and you can see it just works. And then set our y. We'll apply ease out. And it's even more…
