- [Instructor] So here in my Presto terminal,…we're going to browse around and get familiar…with the command line interface.…I'm going to go ahead and maximize this,…and I'll just clear my window so you can have a clean slate…to work from.…And first I want to take a look at what files we have.…So I'll type ls, and notice we have bin and prestoadmin.…Let's go inside a bin,…and inside a bin we hae the presto dash admin…which operates several admin functions…and then you have the cli, the command line interface.…
So just to simplify things, what I'm going to do is…rename the presto-cli as just presto.…So I'm going to copy it, presto dash cli presto.…Now when I run functions, I just have to type presto…and then whatever the function is.…For example, let's log in to our Presto server.…So I'll type presto dash dash server,…localhost is where it's running, and port 8080.…Now that I'm in presto, I have several different functions,…and the first one is about the catalog,…so as I mentioned before, Presto can connect to…
