Join Ashley Kennedy for an in-depth discussion in this video Working with stills in a video environment, part of Premiere Pro CC 2015 Essential Training.
- Still images are often wonderful additions…to many video projects, whether they…be photographs or graphics or titles.…In this movie, we're going to take a look…at how to bring still images into your project…and how to work with them in the context…of a video environment.…All right, so before importing,…I want to discuss just a couple…of still image-related Preferences.…I'm going to come up to "Premiere Pro,"…"Preferences," "General."…Again, this is in the "Edit" menu on a PC.…And I'm gonna come down to "Still Image Default Duration."…It's set at 150 frames.…
You can change this if you want,…but I wouldn't worry about this too much…because when you're working with stills…in Premiere Pro, you can always make them longer…or shorter in the timeline by trimming them out.…Now I also want to take a look at this option right here.…"Default scale to frame size."…By default, this is turned off,…which is usually what you want.…If you check this, Premiere would take very large images,…say, several thousand pixels in size,…

Q: After loading a project from the exercise files for this course, the media appears "offline" and cannot be used. How do I fix this?
A: This issue occurs because the project was not created in your copy of Premiere Pro, so your copy does not know where to look for the asset files. To fix this, please see the video "Relinking offline media."
Q: Premiere Pro keeps saying, "Project contains a sequence that could not be opened. No sequence preview preset or codec could be associated with this sequence type." What do I do?
A: Please read this post, which addresses this issue, and then try the suggestion in the order provided: https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/kb/features-presets-missing-premiere-pro.html
