Why different types - Premiere Pro Tutorial
From the course: Premiere Pro Guru: Markers
Why different types
- Markers have different functions in Premiere Pro. All we have used so far are comment markers, which of course, we are using to either remind ourselves of something or to communicate with other members of the team. Their function is very easy to understand. We use them for the different things that we have been using them so far. However, there are other types of markers and some of them are even interactive. The encore chapter markers are interactive and they are there for navigational purposes, while the web link ones open a website when the video gets to that point. The flash queue point ones could make a number of things happen, either navigation or event. So, depending on what you want to accomplish with your markers, you should use one kind or another. For obvious reasons, we will use the comment markers more often than any of the other kinds, but maybe we will have a use for the other types. Let's try some of them.
