- [Voiceover] Hi, I'm Ashley Kennedy. Welcome to Introduction to Video Dialogue Editing. In this course, we're going to be exploring how the art of cutting dialogue can shape how your audience feels about your film, both outwardly as well as on a deeply subconscious level. Early in this course, we'll look at many examples of dialogue scenes throughout the history of cinema, and then, we'll take strategies from those movies to create our own scenes later in the course. The three scenes we'll be cutting contain the exact same words; the script is identical. But, through the actor's performance, as well as our editing decisions, we'll end up with three drastically different resulting scenes. When you're finished with this course, you should have gotten a good taste of the exciting world of dialogue editing, and be prepared to go forth in other Lynda.com trainings to learn much more.
